Grilled Bananas Foster
2 Bananas (not too ripe) 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 pint best-quality vanilla ice cream 3 tablespoons Bourbon
Grilling Method: Direct/Medium Heat
Slice bananas, in their skin, in half lengthwise and crosswise so each banana yields four pieces. Set aside. Combine sugar, cinnamon and honey. Glaze cut sides of bananas. Let bananas sit for 5 minutes.
Place bananas cut side-down on the center of a clean cooking grate and place lid on grill. Cook for 2 minutes or until grill marks appear. Using a pair of long-handled tongs, turn over and let cook 5 more minutes or until the skin pulls away from the banana. Remove from grill and serve immediately on top of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with Bourbon.
